Are you one of those scientist that will not release a cure because of fear of loss of income. If you come up with cures for all diseases you won't have a job. Does that hold you back?
That was not meant to be insulting just inquiring. I forgot the "?" after income. There could be a lot of "jokes" here. It's like you are so down on capitalists or I think of Wall Street that you kind of stone them to death. Thus Stonewall Jackson. You mentioned not revealing the identity of the person who inhaled milk and I thought of Jacqueline Kennedy not releasing that interview until I think it will be 2011! I guess you want to be thought of as Jack's son. I know you prize your integrity and I was a litte miffed I might have to wait 44 years to find out. I might not live 44 more years so I guess in retaliation I tried to get you miffed so you'd know how I feel so you'd understand. At least you got a chance to emphasize your ethical stance. It wasn't meant to insult but perhaps to let your passions be known.
They say to question authority. Maybe I should have worded the question "You're not one of those are you?" I apologize if you felt offended. I guess where you work everyone is always congratulating everyone about how smart they are. Out in the real world everyone is so rude. It's contagious. I hope I don't fall victim to that disease again or too often. There are even rudeness traps! I feel the same way about saving lives though.
You know one of my teachers said that one the the major razor blade companies have invented a razor blade that never wears out however will not release it because it would put them out of business!

The Boston Tea Party in reverse.
If the job comes with federal benefits, I'll take it and not complain!
This almost writes itself.
Most of them do.

Not that you'll admit it.
That is insulting. Even if the pleasure of saving lives was not enough, the resulting fame would also be a plus.

The more I think about it, losing a job is funny, right?
As funny as "Up in the Air"

I guess you didn't see "Up". That was funny and charming.
However, you would probably not release information if it jeopardized national security, right?
