Soccer replays banned
as were pictures of caskets
silent falling trees.

I think it is getting time to think about getting scared.

My mind is in a fog sometimes. What do you mean by banned? I must have missed something on the news. This must have been during the world soccer matches, right?

With all the mistakes by the refs during the world cup, FIFA banned the replays of controversial plays so that the fans would not get upset seeing obvious mistakes on the big screens in the stadiums. They did this after the English team was denied a goal against Germany. A ball clearly crossed the German goal line but then bounced out and none of the refs saw this but the replay clearly showed that it was a goal. Instead of permitting refs to watch replays, they banned them. Better to let the refs get it wrong then have them change a call.

You really know your soccer. I misread replays as a verb rather than a noun.
